Upcoming Classes at VT Creative Works in Morrisville, VT

Watercolor Foundations: Sundays from 2-4 PM, March 8, 15, 22, and 29, adults and motivated teens

This class will teach the foundational skills in paint handling, work order, color theory, and understanding values you need to get off to a great start with watercolor, or take your work to the next level. Each student will receive a complete set of professional painting supplies to take home and continue their practice. Custom Classes & Private or Small-Group Lessons

Contact me for online and in-person watercolor and drawing instruction options. I have experience teaching children and adults basic watercolor skills, and can work with individuals or small groups to help you meet your artistic goals.

Possible topics of instruction:

• Realistic drawing
• Composition when working from photos or from life
• Basic brush and water control tips and exercises
• Color mixing and color theory
• Understanding values and shape simplification
• Pigments and palette selection
• Apps and websites to aid the artist
• Historic watercolor painting

Rates:

• $20 per person for 1.5 – 2 hour class, groups of 3-8 people
• $60 for 1.5 – 2 hour class for one or two people
• +federal mileage rate for travel (if required)
• Supply kits available, $15 – $25 depending on the length and topics of the course
